Meetings

Everyone is welcome to UVSP meetings! Board meetings for the Fall 2022 semester will be held weekly on Wednesdays the Student Union Building (SUB), room B025 — the exact day of the week and timing have yet to be decided. This schedule and more real time updates can be found on our Instagram.

Themed meetings are held periodically and will be announced on our social media prior to their occurrence. Examples of these meetings include:
  • Creative safe spaces (eg. button making, collaging, etc.)
  • Themed workshops (eg. bike repair workshop with SPOKES UVic Bike Repair, Halloween Pumpkin carving-for-a-cause)
  • Events (eg. Enviro-Roundtable, AGMs)

Typical weekly Board meetings will include: the discussion of grant applications, planning and brainstorming upcoming events, budgeting, and sharing volunteer opportunities.

Members

Students and faculty are welcome to attend UVSP meetings whether they are a UVSP Board Member or an attendee. To become a UVSP board member you must attend three meetings in a semester.

  • Ability to Vote on approval for grants, events, and campaigns.
  • Opportunities for event input, involvement, and volunteering.
  • Meeting with passionate students and staff every week and co-creating a vibrant, sustainability-minded community!
