About UVSP's Climate Action Team

This project is led by Sunny Enkin Lewis (she/her), a sociology student at UVic and Shayla Friton (she/her), a sociology and psychology student at UVic.
These two fearless, and innovate leaders were inspired to start this project, based on an ongoing initiative. They've brought it to UVIC to address the paralysis that so many in the post-secondary community are feeling. That feeling of needing/wanting to do something but not knowing where to start. So, they created a start that is accessible to any who want to participate in it. |

Our partners
The Climate Action Team project works in partnership with the UVic Sustainability Project! Partnering in January 2022, we have been lucky enough to engage students along the strong foundations that the UVSP has created of sustainability promotion, reconciliation, climate justice, inclusion, and community. In addition to the UVSP, we are excited to form more partnerships with other on campus groups and faculty as we continue to build and expand our project throughout this semester and beyond.
